Your rental receipt is the final word on what you're being charged, and mistakes happen more often than you'd think. Extra days, wrong fuel charges, insurance you declined -- these all show up on bills and most people never bother to check. ReceiptChecker helps you line up what you agreed to versus what you're actually being billed for.
Fuel charges top the list -- companies often claim the tank wasn't full even when it was. After that, insurance charges you declined at the counter, extra-day charges when you returned on time, and toll fees you never incurred are the usual suspects.
Keep your original reservation confirmation, a photo of the fuel gauge at return, timestamped return photos, and any counter receipts. Comparing these against the final bill makes it obvious when numbers don't add up.
Check it the same day if possible. Some charges take a few days to finalize, but reviewing the preliminary receipt right away lets you catch errors while the details are still fresh and before the charge posts to your card.
